Luxor Day Tour from Hurghada by Bus
To travel all the way to Hurghada and not make a day trip to the ancient city of Luxor would be a shame. It’s just a four hour drive from Hurghada, which makes it such a popular excursion for tourists. There’s lots to fit into a full day trip to Luxor, but all of this makes the journey even more rewarding.
Itinerary:
Early in the morning you will be collected by a group coach and driven to Luxor to meet your group Egyptologist guide. Firstly visit the West Bank and The Valley of the Kings, this ancient burial site houses over 60 Egyptian kings and pharaohs the most famous of all King Tutankhamun. Take the opportunity to go inside and see 3 of the Tombs while you’re there. Next a short ride to Hatshepsut Temple, this is the burial place of Egypt's sole female Pharaoh Hatshepsut, whose mortuary temple is one of the sites most impressive architectural structures. Then a stop to admire the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, before crossing over to the East Bank, to see the breath taking Karnak Temple with more than 30 Pharaohs thought to have contributed to its construction.
Be sure to carry plenty of sun cream and water and take a hat and sunglasses too. Unlike Hurghada, there is no sea breeze in Luxor, so it can get very, very hot.
